You know, I'm not actually sure how that happens either. I moved over about 8 months ago. My wordpress.com site still ranks higher than my .com site, although now it's only two sites beneath it & steadily climbing. I'm considering deleting the wordpress.com blog completely, not sure what that would do.

All links used by others that linked to my wordpress.com site all land on my .com site. I think it simply takes a while for all that to change.

I found it useful. I still don't understand how they will deal with traffic rerouting, though. Google algorithms point to specific sites/domains. If you change your domain, you typically break your rating values.
