My landing page looks PERFECT on Zune.net and a majority of the other podcast directories. I can't understand why iTunes is so different. Especially considering the fact that Libsyn sets everything up correctly specifically for iTunes.

For instance, iTunes thinks we are a podcast by "Unknown." How do I edit the raw RSS feed?

I was mortified. So I resorted to what I knew best: I cried….and then I emailed some of my bestest podcaster friends and asked them to please leave me honest reviews that didn't rip me apart. That took the pressure off 🙂

One thing that's really good is to make it a part of your intro or your outro, really natural, kinda like: "if you want to contact the show our voice feedback line is xxx-xxxxx our email is blah blah and if you're wanna give the show some love leave us a review in iTunes" something like that.

I really LOVED what Dave said right below your comment. If you haven't see his comment, you should. Great idea 🙂

I've heard while listening to other podcasts that there's actually a bug in iTunes that they are aware of. There are certain, random podcasts that are not being updated, but those that are subscribed are getting the updates. The podcasters that have noticed this issue have contacted Apple and they have said that they are on it….now when that is solved or the podcasts updated….who knows 🙁

I'd say just wait another week, if you still don't have any updates, come on back over here and let us know, maybe we can figure out something to do!

For a couple of weeks it was only showing the first episode of my podcast even though iTunes subscribers were getting the 2nd and 3rd weekly episodes in the series. Then there's the photo. I've just got that useless generic icon, despite the fact it showed me the correct logo icon when I submitted the feed for approval. Looking on the Apple forums I see lots of folks with the same issue and all I keep reading is that the web page is maintained on a much slower, cached server so it can take a long time for updates (or even the image you submitted) to appear. It's very frustrating!

"If you enjoy this podcast, you can support the show by leaving an itunes rating and telling friends about it through email, facebook and twitter." Or point them this way: http://imake.Libsyn.com/the-season-of-giving-give
